Genealogy has become a hobby for me over the last 10 years. For me, it's like a puzzle, I love fitting the pieces together. But over the years, I've researched a lot that does not pertain to our family lines. Some for extended family, some for close friends, and some because I was trying to rule out lines to figure out where our line went exactly. I do not want these notes on my Heather's Genealogy Notes blog - because they are not our lines. But I do like to share all of my research, in case it benefits others. That is what this blog is for - research I have done that does not apply to our own family lines, but may be helpful for someone else.

Sarah Francis "Fanny" Frazer

So why am I researching Franny Frazer?  Because David Knapp insists that these are the parents of William Andrew Ridge who married Ethel Linderborn.  He knew the family.  This conflicts with stories told by our own family members, but I have to look into it just be sure....  comments from David Knapp are at the end of this post, under Research.

Josephine & Agnes are back in the same household as their mother, but thier father has died.

1880

Two George's. One is the son, one is the grandson, I believe.  Both are George A. For the first George, Sarah, Marcus & Josephine, the fathers birthplace is given as PA.  For the second George, the birthplace of his father is given as Illinois.

George's occupation is Miner
Agnes is listed as "keeping house" and under illnesses has a note about her lungs

Note - Agnes, and her husband (unknown) were born in PA.

George's Death Record shows that his parents were Calvin & Agnes (Weaver) Frazer.  I am going to assume that Sarah has the same parents.  But this is an assumption, i am not 100% positive that THIS George is the George above.

The dead child listed above was replaced with a boy born to a mother that was not married, his father was a St. Louis, Mo. Doctor. He was stolen from his mother by a nurse named Mary who switched birth certificates and claimed him as Ethel's son named Harold.

In early 1940's William Andrew Ridge brought him to Belleville, Illinois to the Frazer family. He also came to our house to see my Mother & Father. My mother was also stolen from her mother. In order to try to seal the real identity of my mother,s mother, a dozen lies were told. My mother was given to the Ridge's also. But 3 months later she was taken away from the Ridges for good. This woman told my mother that children were taken away from their mother but know one will ever know the truth. SHE IS NOW WRONG.

The true Harold Ridge to some extent.

Here is a story that is true. Beyond what most would like to hear. There was a women born in Ronoake, Virginia who could not have children. She told more lies than the Democrats do.To start with, she was married in McAlester Oklahoma. A 1900 Coal Mine accident in McAlester drove her & her husband to Belleville, Illinois. She had a niece from McAlester that was house keeping her husband for a month while she & her adopted son went back to Roanoke, Virginia to visit her family. This resulted in a girl born to this niece in 1910 from Susan's husband.
In order for no one to know what her husband did, she stole that child from her niece and told everybody that the girl was her daughter. She also used a situation from a local woman to cover up who was stolen etc. This woman had a son & 2 daughters by a St. Louis, Doctor who would not divorce his wife. She told people one of those daughters was my mother to cover up what her husband did. A BIG LIE The son was stolen from her and given to the Ridges who at that time lived in Belleville. The two girls went to school with my mother and graduated from the Belleville, Illinois Jr. High School on 13 June 1924. Susan Hitchings nee McDurman. Her husband's friend from ,Belleville, Illinois also had a daughter from his niece. The church that he sang in the quire covered up this issue. He was told by Susan that my mother was his child. A BIG LIE. He believed it to be true. The ridge family & the family that this other woman belonged to all thought my mother was wer child. A BIG LIE. Susan told my mother that there was things that happened that no one would ever know.
TRUE UNTIL 5 YEARS AGO One day my mother went to her father and told him someone told her who her real parents were. The next day he was murdered and made to look like suicide by local politicians. Election was about to take place very soon. At that time he was a local judge.
I could go on & on. I know who is who period. My mother had one so called brother who was legally adopted. No Relation.
