Genealogy has become a hobby for me over the last 10 years. For me, it's like a puzzle, I love fitting the pieces together. But over the years, I've researched a lot that does not pertain to our family lines. Some for extended family, some for close friends, and some because I was trying to rule out lines to figure out where our line went exactly. I do not want these notes on my Heather's Genealogy Notes blog - because they are not our lines. But I do like to share all of my research, in case it benefits others. That is what this blog is for - research I have done that does not apply to our own family lines, but may be helpful for someone else.

Burial -
Many of the children are buried at Estella, it would be a good place to look for George & Mary.  One researcher believes Mary is buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Sullivan County Pa - where some of George's siblings are also buried.

Research:

Children:
If the census records are correct, Effie married a man 15 years younger than herself.
Her tombstone says she was born in 1844, her death certificate says she was born in 1845.

William was born in Sullivan County Pa, and died and was buried in Sullivan County PA.  But in 1880, 1900, and 1910, he lived in Kansas, according to the census and the History Of Sullivan County.  He must have come back sometime between 1910 and 1916 when he died?  (His death certificate says he was born in 1821 - but it also says he was 84 years old. The math to make him 84 years old when he died in 1916 would put his birthday at the correct 1831)

Effie (Brown) and Thomas Jennings

1. THOMAS AUGUSTUS JENNINGS, son of Coe G. Jennings and Julia Mccoy, was born about December 29, 1825 in New York, and died July 08, 1887. He married ELSA R. "EFFIE" BROWN, daughter of GEORGE BROWN and MARY SNYDER. She was born July 1843 and died May 30, 1928 in PA

3. iii. CALVIN BROWN JENNINGS, bApril 19, 1866, Elkland Township, Sullivan County, PA; died January 3, 1918 in Elkland.
