Genealogy has become a hobby for me over the last 10 years. For me, it's like a puzzle, I love fitting the pieces together. But over the years, I've researched a lot that does not pertain to our family lines. Some for extended family, some for close friends, and some because I was trying to rule out lines to figure out where our line went exactly. I do not want these notes on my Heather's Genealogy Notes blog - because they are not our lines. But I do like to share all of my research, in case it benefits others. That is what this blog is for - research I have done that does not apply to our own family lines, but may be helpful for someone else.

===================================
From Meginness' History of Lycoming County, page 979:

"J. H. Fague, merchant, was born in Lycoming county, Pennsylvania, May 4, 1849, son of Matthias and Ann (Derr) Fague. He was educated in the common schools, and in 1873 he went into the general mercantile business in Hughesville in company with W. H. Kitchen. At the end of five years he withdrew from the firm, purchased a property, fitted up a store-room of his own, and took C. B. Vandine into co-partnership with him; at the expiration of five years, the latter withdrew, and Mr. Fague has been sole proprietor. He was married in 1874 to H. Augusta Tallman, and to this union has been born one child, Laura."

Note: compare the above biography with that of W. H. Warn, also published in the History of Lycoming County. According to the biography of William Harrison Warn, Sr., he sold his store to Fague & Kitchen in 1873

From the Williamsport, PA "Gazette & Bulletin," November 28, 1914, page 4:
